SampleSafe™ eliminates your need to enter the transformer cabinet for routine oil sampling or oil processing.
The system is contained in a stainless steel locking enclosure and mounted on the transformer cabinet outside the area containing energized conductors. SampleSafeTM allows technicians access to equipment within the transformer cabinet without the danger of exposure to the energized equipment through the SampleSafeTM enclosure.
1. Base Unit: Access for sampling through a single exterior stainless steel enclosure for safe access to the vent and sample valve. The oil valve and vent will be routed from the valve or plug inside the transformer cabinet using a specially selected hose to the new valves now mounted away from the electrical hazards. Also, included with the base is the installation of a window allowing a clear view of the pressure and/or vacuum and level gauges within the cabinet. Samples can now be safely drawn.
2. Full Service Unit: The Base Unit plus a second, exterior enclosure for access to the top valve. Safely sample and access necessary valves for properly qualified energized oil processing on the transformer.
To be installed by a trained and qualified SDMI technician on your de-energized transformer.
The Base Unit can be fitted with a high quality pressure vacuum gauge.
There could be a situation where the window is not desired and it can be eliminated from the base visual- only upon request.
